1806 Large Cent!

Hello, I stopped by our sports complex park after work as I had about an hour to do what I love. At the top of the bank near the road that splits the park, I got a copper signal with the Ace 250 that I thought would surely be another Lincoln cent. I about did a cartwheel down the bank when out popped this green Beauty. Praise God as he is always Blessing Thanks for looking! Paul

Terrific find! My first LC was a draped bust, but in my earnest stupidity I ruined it by over cleaning it.

Nice going!! Any largie you can read the date on is a great find, especially one as early as yours. I have found 2 Draped Bust cents so far, but my first one (an 1805) I kind of ruined in the cleaning just like relicmeister. I now just gently clean the dirt off with a toothpick and leave it as is. Like they say "Less is more".

Our Sports Complex here used to be an old farm and the log house was taken down about 3-4 years ago because of termites. Most of the ground was changed around and I did not expect this where it was. Paul
