A very nice diverse group of finds. A great day detecting. Way to go!

Nice finds.

I found this short history of the match and medal associated with it. Here is a short clip from the pdf.

A few column inches on page eight of the August 13, 1903 edition of the Washington
Times reported that, “Two weeks from today the members of the Brigade Rifle Team of
the District militia will have their first practice…on the rifle range at Sea Girt, N.J.”1
While it is unremarkable that a newspaper of that era and place might comment on an
upcoming rifle match what is remarkable, in the present era of snail paced
governmental action, is that the legislation that created the match in question had been
passed on March 2, 1903, a mere 5 ½ months earlier.

It would indicate that your found medal was from the 2nd year of this event (1904). So the 4 C's would be correct noting it as 1904.

More specific to the 1904 match

The Army hosted the 1904 National Trophy Matches without the concurrent NRA
matches at Fort Riley, Kansas in the third week of August. It was hoped that a
geographically central location and a more plentiful number of firing points would attract
more teams. Unfortunately that advantage was offset by the otherwise poor range
facilities-the 1,000 yard firing line, for example, was atop a 30 foot high mound,10 as well
as high winds and horrifying mirage.

Nice group of finds. I have found that same Dandy button with the circle of small diagonal lines.

Nice spot for sure! Congrats on lots of sweet finds!
I like the handle! Sure nice weather for detecting!
