So this just happened the other day. Doing work for someone whose house was built in 1780s. Put some cabinets together for her and went to put them where she wanted. Boom under a steam radiator DRAPED BUST staring at me. I showed her and she said i could have it. Seventh heaven. The copper shine of the coin is so awesome 15B24AA7-AB96-4E83-BA90-34B3F2A3C213.jpeg608E409D-8AEB-4AF8-A390-F9BB06080165.jpeg

Freakin' fantabulicious!

Nice find !!! That's really cool. Years ago, people would put coins (if washers weren't handy) under the legs of steam radiators to level them on an
uneven floor. There could be more of them under radiator legs of that old house. Just a thought. Happy Super Sunday !!!!!!!!!

Yes Jose. I will be going back and checking all of them tomoro actually. Treasure hunting inside. Woohoo

Great looking coin, congrats on the in-house find! :occasion14:

That's great ! Bring a bunch of heavy-duty washers with you in case you have to replace some of the old "shims". Good luck !!!!!!!!!

We don' need no estinkin' detector! 🙌

I had a Mercury dime fall out of a ceiling at my house when I was having some work done a few years ago. Yours wins however!

Awesome coin wow now see if she will let you detect the yard lol

Great find! I wonder like others if it was placed there at some point in the past 50 yrs or so for some purpose? You'll never know. Hard to imagine it's been lying there for 200 years though.

John

Yeah i was wonder that as well. It could have been stuck inbetween the radiator. It was a tall and long one then been bumped into and fallen out. Possibly

Incredible score. So cool to see the coin with that kind of shine when they are normally covered in corrosion!
