1800's Tools?

I have several here so bear with me. All of this was found at what once was a post office from 1851 to roughly 1908. Log cabin poss. built in 1834.

1. What are these three items?

2. Is this a tool?

3. Is this a cover or lid to something?

If you need more pics, let me know. Thanks and HH!

Re: 1800's Tools?

The top photo has a section of a square link farm machinery chain, and the little loop think is a harness attachment. Not sur on the other.
The bottom photo looks like the distribution disc out of the bottom of a drill or corn planter.

Re: 1800's Tools?

The piece on bottom right, top pic, looks exactly like a height of cut adjuster for a old reel mower. A carriage bolt went thru center, the roller shaft went thru bottom hole, and the grooved splines were matched up with another splined piece on the frame, and it was tightened so the grooves lined up. U could loosen bolt, and move splined piece up and down to raise or lower height of cut.
