I managed to get out for a few hours between the rain and snow. It was pretty productive! I got a solid high tone under a tree in what would be the front yard at a cellar hole site. Ended up being a pocket spill. 4 1800s large cents and an 1800s fishscale. The coppers are all in great shape.

Very nice! Any scarce dates in that group? Don't know much about Canadian coins, but would think the PEI copper would be a good one.

The PEI copper is in amazing shape. Theres a patch of verdigris on it (that will come off) but other than that, it still has it's original color. All the details are strong with little to no wear. Unfortunately, none of the dates are scarce, nor are the varieties. The holy grail for Canadian coppers is the 1858 LC or 1936 dot penny. For silver, it's the 1921 5 cent (fishscale).

Wow! Someone lost their change coming back from the store back in the day. That is just awesome. Big congrats!

Cool find I love old coin spills gotta be happy finding that to think someone was sitting in that spot 100 plus years ago and spilled those cool stuff. Well done. Tommy

Awesome spill! My best spills are always under trees- Congrats!!

Nice spill, those old coppers sure survived that weather. :occasion14:

That’s a great hunt when u come home with a bunch of coppers
in great shape like that.

Wow! That must feel fantastic to dig a spill as you did there. That's just too cool. Congrats!!

My heart is with colonial coins and relics, but I have to say, I enjoyed every second of it! It felt pretty darn good, especially when I saw that little silver rim lol

Pocket spills are every detectorists dream. They’re as exciting, to me, as finding a gold ring. Congratulations!
