1800's bag tag?

Dug this tag out of the ground near an 1800's tavern is western Mass. Wondering if anyone has any info. I posted this in the "What is it" forum but didn't get much response. I then realized there was a forum for just tags so here I am!!





PS. Does anyone know why my photos come up sideways lol! Thanks in advance
