Had misplaced this stuff but just found them in with my arrowheads...

Found the bodkin with my 1652 Mass sixpence and several Spanish cobs some 15 years ago. One of the oldest and most exciting sites I have hunted. The local archeologists flipped out on this find. Said the only other they knew of found in America came from Jamestowne. I'm sure more exist though. I searched google and saw some others for sale in England. Its mid 17th century.

The pieces of the sundial come from another very old site that sadly produced no coins at all. But I like relics more and the site produced many hand made and engraved buckles and buttons. The stuff is crazy deep so I need a GPX 5000 there I guess.

I'm told the button is 19th century but that shank looks at least 100 years earlier IMO. The phrase "Dieu et mon droit" relating to England goes back at least to the 15th century according to wikipedia:

This are some awesome finds , there may not be any coins in that area but I bet there are some more items like this around that area.

Keep at it, I like to see the photos of the great things you find.

nice bodkin! congrats

Your Colonial artifacts inspire me. :icon_thumleft: The coast of Maryland is huge for Colonial. You prove it each time you hunt a field. :headbang:

Kirk :hello:
