KKC hit a new site today, but all it gave up were Colonial relics. I got the highlight of the day. I flipped out a nice 1790s Dandy button not long after we arrived at the iron patch. The site definitely had Colonial hope now. The relics that came next were pewter spoon pieces and another Dandy button. :) Each time I dig one of these buttons, I am always hoping for a GW. One of these days. :dontknow:

The site we were at was totally beautiful though. We didn't find any good coppers, but the scenery was well worth the hunt (as seen on the video).

Keep the passion high!

Kirk

We cant get coppers everytime out Kirk. As no coins for me either today. Nice looking buttons though. Is that a native american tool you found? If so what is it?

Oh well, bro, we can't win them all. Those dandy buttons and large pewter spoon bowls sure gave some hope for the site, but it was not to be.

Those look like excellent finds to me! Keep checking that site .... you will find a few good copper discs soon! :icon_thumright:

It just didn't want to cough up a copper. :'( Re-load for next week. ;D

Nice Dandy buttons Kirk but I would have to say that my belt buckle is probably the highlight of the day. ;D :dontknow: :laughing9:

After I re-read my post, I thought the same thing. :laughing7: The buckle is the find of the day.

Let's get an official ID before we pop the top on a bottle of Campagne. May not be military.

Nice Relic finds Kirk, I would think that there would be some nice relics on the hill, maybe near the top. Looks like a pretty neat site.

I am sure that there is much more there. The grassy, grown up fields are hard hunting.

I would call the day a success :headbang:
