Went back to a site that in 2011 produced two NJ coppers and a decent KGIII Halfpenny. I have pounded this site quite a bit so I was pleasantly surprised to squeeze out a few more relics and one more State Copper. The CT is sort of good news bads news, although the bad is not really bad. The coin had a lot of detail left, kind of surprised when you compare it with the before cleaning photo, the not so good news is , almost all 1788 CT coppers are Scarce to very rare varieties, except the one I found today. But, I will take condition or rarity in this case.... :)

Phenomenal restoration! Congrats from a midwesterner on some outstanding treasures! Does the button have any detail on its reverse? Just curious if you think the button was made from silver coinage?

M.16.3-N. WOW R-2 common. Only one in the whole bunch! Now that's a nice copper, it's just bad luck on that one. Only variety that is "Common" out of the 37. Detail is awesome though. Congrats.............Hogge

It's nice when you can get well worn site to give up a few more goodies. That's a heck of a button!

Any copper from the 13 colonies is a great find !!

Great condition on the Connecticut copper Don. I would certainly be happy with the "bad news" half of your good news/bad news scenario. :laughing7: Great button as well. Congrats!!
