Hi All,
I got out for a short hunt until the rains came at a 1700's house. First few finds were junk, then I dug up the nice Tombac Button with a missing shank. After some more junk I got a decent signal and popped a Jefferson Nickel out of the ground. After a short time latter I got one of those iffy signals that you just have to dig and dig I did. To my pleasure a nice little silver coin was staring back at me. It is very worn, but in the field I was pretty sure I had a half real. After getting home I was able to see the date of the coin which is for sure 178?, the last digit I think is a 7 but I could be wrong. Well for being very worn I would like to thank who ever lost so long ago not to wear off most of the date . Overall for a short hunt it was fun.
