I pulled this Jersey Shield out of a small cellar hole today. It seems like it's a George half penny as a host coin. Maybe Don from South Jersey can Chime in and ID it. It's too bad it landed on heads in bad ground!

I think it is a 1787 Maris 45-d, but will have to recheck in the morning when I get to my books, since I want to see if it is known to have an undertype like a KG copper. It is without a doubt the Maris "d" reverse, which has 3 possible Obverse die matches, Maris 43, 44, 45, all similar and tough sometimes to distinguish due to corrosion, but I lean strongly to it being the 45 Obverse, which if it is that variety would be a Rarity 5- low rare rating. You can PM me the county found in or say if the same as your last NJ. Thanks for the input, It would be the 6th of that variety in my survey of over 1330 ID'd by variety... UPDATE: It is confirmed that it is a 1787 Maris 45-d, and it is the first one in my NJ survey!
