I had a day off today and decided to play in one of my sandboxes. The other day I found an 1826 large cent in Sandbox 1 so I decided to give Sandbox 3 a try today. This 1787Jersey came out in nice shape. Maybe Don in South Jersey can attribute it? It came from Ocean County, New Jersey

Nice going on the recovery, lots of detail showing still.
Great photos BTW

Fantastic finds! Love it when coppers clean up well and show lots of detail- Congrats!

Yes it is a 1787 Maris 43-d, by far the most common variety found. It will be the 121st one in my NJ survey. But only the 4th of that variety from the county you reported privately reported to me. :)

Nice find! Congratulations! Thanks for posting.
