Found on a site with many revolutionary war era loyalist military buttons and George II and III copper halfpennies. Took me a little while to ID it. Not sure there is enough detail to determine its type. I still am happy to have it. I don't metal detect for monetary value, just the fun of discovery and this is a wonderful discovery, I think.

Congrats on the nice copper! I've only found one nj and it was a lot worse than that. HH!

Like it! ...but where is the rest? Loyalist military buttons would be considered by many as better than a worn common NJ copper... and just for the record they are not era, they are 100% Revolutionary War, if they are indeed Loyalist. And George coppers are cool too!

Like IP says, great find but lets see those buttons :)...

Congrats on getting the NJ copper, for my survey could you PM me the area of Canada found in, Province, at minimum. 1787 New Jersey Copper - Maris 38-Y Don

The 13th NJ reported found in Canada from 5 different Provinces.

Nice coin! Would love to see the rest!

Congrats on a US state copper, and a half decent one too. I've not been able to get my coil over one yet.

Great plate. The 1744 find is most likely a pewter counterfeit Spanish 1 real.... or a pewter button made with a Spanish silver coin design. There's eally no military button that would have the date 1744 on it.

It's a symbol of hope, and doesn't really mean much more than that. Just a neat find.

Some amazing finds to say the least!

Nice! Congrats!
It's on my wish list.
