I guy out here just dug this coin up while doing some tractor work on a foundation. Crazy! He wants to sell it. Anyone have an idea on worth from these crappy photos? I've never even seen one before...
If real, it would be the arrows in left talons variety. If it is real, I would pay $50-$75, but let him say what he think it's worth, then make him an offer.
Thanks for the feedback. I've seen the online information for fakes and multiple versions of the real thing, but you never really know unless you know. I think I'll stay away from it. He seems like a nice guy, but he thinks it's worth $1,000. Fake or not, it's got me dying to get detecting out that way!!!
If genuine and found to be a Ryder 2b-G Variety, it could be worth well over $1,000. There are other scarce to rare varieties that it could fall into as well or it could fall in the common varieties. The authenticity and variety needs to be determined.
