Same site I found the 1805 dime yesterday. No silver but the kg is in pretty good shape. Anyone recognize the marks on the fork or know a site I can search. Thanks for looking.

Congrats on finding a nice conditioned Machins Mills Halfpenny! I have not looked at the charts but it seems to match in the auction catalogs Vlack 19-87C. If I find the chart I will confirm or IP or someone else will probably chime in. Again, nice find!
Going back and forth between Vlack 19&20 Obverse, but now lean to the 19 Obverse..........

Nice array of finds as usual!! :icon_thumright: I'm assuming pic #3 is part of a two-piece buckle, what is the item in pic #4? Also what is in the last two pics? Part of a horse's bit?

Thanks don. Can you explain what that is a little bit and are they rare?

I thought the same on pic 3. The forth I think is a suspenders buckle? With an elephant. I'm not sure what the last is.

I took a quick look and seemed to match a common one so I gave up. :) I'll have a look at those two.

I was going to say in a PM to you if you were SURE it was 1787 in the date. It's a great find,(once again),. My 1783, 25-83A, was a Machins that I sold. (in my signature). That one is in great shape with good detail. A good candidate for peroxide bath. When I get in touch with you this week, I'll show you how to do that. Can't wait to see your coins!:laughing7: Todd

Greylock Congrats on some nice finds there. That Machins is a real cool one. I have dug one to mine is a 1771 it is a Vlack 3-71b. Like Hoggie said a nice hot peroxide bath will make that baby pop. :icon_thumleft:

Awesome finds! Looks like you are on a great site! The clip or buckle with the elephant is really unique.
