Went out on Saturday looking for a new spot....Turns out the roads going to spot was closed...So we decided to hike in...After an hour of hiking in we found out Fog left his battery in the car :tongue3: ...So we headed back to get his battery...Worked out great because we found another way in.. It was wayyyyyy shorter.. Started swinging my way up the hill trying to locate the site, I got a nice signal...My very first Dig was a 1786 New Jersey copper...Its a Maris 23-p Common varity...Condition looked great in the field so I knew it was going to clean up great.. After a little while I found a 1734 George 2....Then on sunday we decided to hit a spot we have been to before...I hunted for a few hours and Found a 1789 1/2 real...It is in poor condition but its Spanish silver  One of the Georges is still soaking...Thanks for looking Brian W

You got some sweet colonial finds there. Sounds like a great site. A shame it took you so long to get there today.... :laughing7: Best of luck on your return trip. I'm sure there's more there for you guys to find.

WOW, I need to do some research. GREAT finds. I am barely into the 1800. a 1700 would be fantastic..... HH, Beach Papa

Wow! That NJ is in pristine condion for a dug copper! Congrats on the KGs and the Spanish too.

Great hunt- and a superb NJ ! Nice post & pics.

KILLER NJ for condition. Hard to find one as nice as that ground found! Nice work on the spanish and the KG too!

That is the type of condition you pray for when you hit the bigtime rare one!

That NJ copper just takes my breath away. Great job of cleaning.

That NJ is the best dug one I've ever seen! The patina is just AWESOME!

Thanks again everyone...I couldn't have asked for better condition...I am thrilled with this coin. I always loved the design of the NJ copper.

Bri that thing cleaned up unreal... we knew when it came out of the ground it was gonna be a blazer, but that is just sick, it rivals the condition of that Draped Bust you found a few years back.
