1780's Farm House, need ID
I obtained permission to metal detect a 1780's farm house that was being dismantled in my home town in VT for relocation for its post and beam. I think the first two pieces are a door knocker, the middle piece is solid brass and heavy. The top piece is also brass and iron, found in the same hole basically. The last piece is what has got me. This was found separate. It appears to be copper and is hinged and the back and front seem to meet in the front hole. It does have a stamp on the front that says Pat. Pend 1852. Any feedback would be great. Also found a adze that I did not post because it was soaking in oil to stop the rust, Thanks
