My father left me a bunch of comics, coins, cards, etc. that he felt would be worth something some day. He spent well over 100K just buying this stuff that he could have passed onto his family, but instead left us the chore of going through things one by one and nothing has been worth anything so far... Sorry to whine..

I've read that the Austria Maria Theresia Silver Thaler Coins are one of the most popular coin trading items, and I can't find anywhere to do this. Ebay says it's worth $5? Is this true?

Awsome coin.

IF Silver it's worth more then $5 in Weight.

I don't know if there are differences but this one went for over a Hundred

I am not sure that one is in dollars. What is R105.00?

I just noticed that. That sight is south african, so I'm guessing it's the rand currency which there is about 7 Rand dollars to 1 U.S. dollar. So 105/7.... still okay price. I wonder why it's selling more on that site? Kind of like the 1921 $1 Morgan silver dollar I have... seems to be more profitable outside of the country???

Didn't Realize that.

I just Did a Search & Found that. :P

YES Location, & Quantity Matter.

there are Thousands of coins on EBay.

& alot of Fakes too

Hi Folks !!

It is very difficult to put a price on a coin that you cant see !
This coin is made in so many variations that you have to study that more closely.

This very famous coin even has it´s own homepage !! ;D

On the homepage you can read about the coin and see the many different variations of this coin:

All Austrian Maria Theresia Thaler Coins carry the date 1780, no matter what year they were minted. I do understand they are still minted today. Only what I heard or read,.
