Can any of the coin experts identify the counter stamp? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1629327265.378246.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1629327273.463142.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1629327282.928112.webp

I don?t know what the counter stamp is but I do know that anything with 1776 is truly something special [emoji631]

Never seen one like that before, very cool though.

Kinda looks like clip marks, but I've never seen any like that?

Actually... i have seen that mark... but it was a "touche mark"... on an early hatchet.

Not saying it is one in the same... but that exact mark if i am not mistaken... perhaps later i will try and see if i can locate the info.

Stellar find btw.. well done.

IF it can be ID'd then in my book this would definitely fall directly into the banner realm.

Thanks for all the info everyone!
It definitely matches the touch mark ( #12) in pepperj?s link. Why or what it means we may never know!

A comparison of the axe touch mark & the coin counter stamp. You be the judge!
