This is my second Hibernia half penny and I beat my other date by two years. I went to a spot a short walk from my house that I hit before and didn't have much luck. I focused on a different side of the area and ended up with the 1767,a toasted copper, a dandy button and a large tombac button. I got a great hit under a giant tree root that I had to give up on and I kept thinking Spanish 8 real but I will try to get what ever it is next time. My hunt was cut short but I'm going back as soon as I can. Also got s bonus 1955 silver dime on the walk out. Thanks for looking! [emoji2]

The root is so big I may need a chainsaw. Haha

Really nice hunt.

It's great when your luck changes at a spot you didn't have such good luck at before.

Congrats on your change of luck and great finds.

After looking I'm thinking it's actually a 1781 and not a 1767. Funny how the
dirt/crust can play tricks on your eyes sometimes!

You have corrected your mistake because 1781 is a common date for that bust, where 1767 does not exist.

Been there done that!

Keep thinking 8 Reales, and and one day it will happen....It did for Me...

Good finds.

My gdo I wish I could get out ......

The tree root is a monster with lots of little ones crossing around it. I dug on both sides of it but the signal is still to far to reach. I'm going to try again for sure though. Worst part is that I don't want to chop and saw at it to much to draw attention. I told the property owners no damage to the property. Would that count as damage I wonder? [emoji2]

Good on you K. thinking about the owners...almost no one does.
Seeing shovels in parks in vodeos proves that.
CONGRATS. TO YOU !

I hacked away at a tree root last year at a homesite chasing a great signal, solid 90 90 90 on my atpro, 40 minutes later I was granted a nice crushed tin cup lol!!!
just Wednesday I hacked at the roots a little chasing a nice 1-50- 7-48 on the etrac, thinking I had a can I was a little careless, scratched my first ever half, 1904s barber half

lol, ya just never know!
