Those critters aren't bright. Hope you let it out.

Ya, I don't think you want to "eat" anything that stupid. We have them fall off the fence here when we shine a flash light on them! Lol!

I had to take the jar down and pull him out by his tail. He was so fat he couldn't turn around in the jar. I have caught him in live traps 3 times in the last week. My daughter had one of her semi wild cats escape and we have been trying to catch it. Keep catching the possum, my dog and our other cats. My daughter says we have a possum problem. I say we have a ready supply of meat if hard times come!

Thanks for IDing the "button" as a cufflink. I have found cut Spanish silver, a few buckles, lots of musket balls and few other buttons at this site as well.

PAwesome_Possum1.jpg Nice cufflink

You should name the opossum Mason it would fit, since he did LOL.

Nice finds and good return (to the wild that is)

Indian Steve that cuff button is off the charts. Fantastic period find, congrats.
Do possums get rabies?
ZDD

Super nice cuff link! Lol on the possum

Nice 18th C linked SILVER button, most likely a cuff link but no reason it couldn't be the top collar type.

Thanks to All for the comments and information. Yes, possums do get rabies but this guy was very healthy. I've had this song stuck in my head all night. Enjoy!

button or cufflink, either way it is sweet :icon_thumleft:
