Went back to the Vermont copper spot today with my brother and sister. My brother found the counterfeit British Half Penny(musta made this one outa Iron)LOL and shot copper disc, while my sister Kim,( on her very first hunt no less), found the King George II 174? Half Penny. This is our oldest dated coin so far. I can see the first 3 numbers in the date under magnification. I also found what appears to be a Militia Cap Plate. I have it on the "what is it" site, but if some one sees it here and can ID please do so. One person said it was a Vermont Militia Cap Plate, circa 1800-1815. Would like some help with this one. Thanks guys and HAVE A NICE DAY! Hogge P.S. The final pics of the Ryder 7 Vermontensium will be on this week. It's coming out BEAUTIFUL. Wait til you see it!
