I dug this a few years back and knew back then it was a coin and was 1723. But that's really all I know. I mostly find civil war era coins to modern clad. I have some older stuff but not too much. I'm sure someone on here has several of these and maybe in better condition that would know a little about these coins. Thanks for looking.:icon_scratch:
 

George I farthing or half penny, depending on size. Great Britain, a nice coin any year!

Yup! 1723 George I! Very nice condition, I found one from 1722 that was very crusty and pitted. The patina on yours is very nice! I love it when the date is that clear! It is very hard to find coins that old in the US, the colonists in the 1720's didn't have much money on them, at least where I live. Congratulations! :occasion14:

Yes, it's real hard to get one with a date. Congrats. I found a 1729 half cent in February in about the same condition. It's hard to find them nice.
