I've had a bit of a good luck streak the past few weeks...at an odd time too.
The beach detecting conditions have been challenging to say the least.

I found it on a beach directly adjacent to the wreck site and ballast pile.
Also found these recently in close proximity.
This is a well known 1715 fleet wreck beach.

Cool bronze spike find for sure.

all those gold coins and chains make me drool

I know!
It's like low hanging fruit.
Just can't put my tank on and go anymore. :-(

Very cool and interesting:headbang:

Love the shipwreck tales or stories..

Hey, I saw you guys on national nightly news. The bronze spike is great but that gold is AMAZING!!

I wish it was I who found all that gold.. 16 feet of gold chains not to mention the escutos..all the cobs, kang Xsi porcelain ect..ect..
That was Eric and crew "family" aboard the "Booty Salvage"
I just work the shore these days.

Why don't you work the water anymore?

The "known" wreck sites are all privately leased in cooperation with the state in my area.
I'm not a leaseholder and would face serious penalties.

Can you work the waters edge?

Absolutely .. and I do.
From The average low tide mark.. To the foot of the dunes.
