Got out with dave for a marathon today, he was on fire in the getting permission department, almost all he talked to said yes. Well dave put on another show, kicking my butt til the very last house we hit, all I had all day was the dandy button, crotal bell, and 3 wheats before the last permission. Ended up getting a 64 roosie, 1 wheat, .925 sterling heart, and a slammer of a 14K class ring from 2008 at the last house, the ring has a name in the inside so hopefully it will be easy tracking down the owner. As always a fun day in good company, thanks for looking and HH!! 20151022_183250.jpg20151022_182325.jpg20151022_205037.jpg20151022_210215.jpg20151022_205535.jpg20151022_205519.jpg20151022_210641.jpg

Congrats on pulling that fist full of keepers. Good luck with finding the rings owner.

Great day of fun. Good luck on the returning the ring, still looking for my first class ring and return.

That dandy button is a sweet one Chris. It cleaned up nicely from that first pic you texted me. The silver is always sweet and be sure to let us know if you find that rings owner. Cheers

Steve

I STILL would have rather found that button than the LC, lol. Yesterday was like a trip to the zoo, lol with seeing camels, miniature horses, mules, cattle and all the Amish horses. Was also the first time I ever had a quick " yes " and then a " well, I think not " within a minute from the same person8-). Thanks for the laughs. Glad you finally decided to detect at the last minute lol.

Ps. I still believe I'd have a trifecta if I count the Canadian penny:tongue3:

Ps. Again. After reading my post, I believe I was wrong. I probably did have a quick "yes" and then a " well, I think not" before, but it was in high school and I wasn't metal detecting:BangHead:

I don't think it is charm. I think they take one look at me and think " Poor bugger. He deserves SOME good in his life" and then hide the kids and small dogs so I don't scare them[emoji23]

I haven't found one of those large, old-styled graduation rings in a VERY long time!

Excellent hunt!

thanks gary, this was a solid nickel signal 11-14 on my etrac, didn't budge, it's only the 2nd gold ring I've ever found, last year I found a ring in a yard n gave it right back to the owner, this return will take some work, the school is about 70 miles from me and I've already reached out on facebook to the potential owner

No way...wasn't me...was my AMERICAN MADE detector, lol.
I was wondering when you would actually turn that machine on when we hunted before lol
