1700's copper (Hibernia), + pheasant sportsman button.

Didn't leave the house till after 12:00

see video for why.

A 3 hour hunt, very nice temps in the lower elevations.

Nothing spectacular, but a good variety of relics.

small crotal, 3 knobs, one door, one Ox, one other, 2 thimbles, 5 buttons, one tombac, one sportsman (pheasant ?) probably favorite of the hunt), a musket ball and one coin. An Irish Hibernia, the second from this place, but the other was an 1805 this (bigger bust) one is 1775-1782. No much matter as it is quite toast.

A good hunt.

Short video (2:25)

Great video. Looks like you scored some really nice finds. So that was close enough to bike to? Nice hunt like the crotal bell and that pheasant button. Glad to see you out there.

Thanks, Tnmountains.
"close enough to bike to" Depends on what you call close, I'm 50, and 25 miles one way is not uncommon.

Nice scores !

I like those Hibernias, since most are counterfeits and sometimes have unusual features, most of the crowns seem to vary from coin to coin is one interesting note. I have been using bicycle for years for getting to spots, but usually a few miles at most. It doubles the exercise portion of our hobby. :)

I would count a button I need, one like that, a day worth doing. Congrats. Plus an early copper to boot.
