why would you date it 1700's? it coulda been old decoration from a lamp or somthing i dont think it looks like a coin beacuse the deep pits dont really have a pattern...Sorry.... keep up the good wrk.. ;D

I date it 1700's because thats basically the oldest in can be dated in the U.S.A

could be a colonial type of coin,but to pitted even when i checked it in other color formats "negitive,red/blue spectrum",....could be a handmade button from a coin,...
