Yesterday we discovered a fresh field near the one from last weekend. The surface was light frozen so it was easy to walk and not that bad to dig. In the first 15 minutes i had a good deep signal and dug near 30" just to find a rusty bucket :BangHead: But on these fields You can expect anything so i couldn't pass by... After that start we had lots of good signals, but most were buttons german Wehrmacht (Army) related. A Wehrmacht buckle was under the finds too. Crisscrossing the field leads us to some older finds and some coins. Had a nice 8 Heller coin minted 1585 in Cologne, a scrappy roman As i believe, a french and a german zinc coin.
A nice small buckle too and my personal favorite is a little lead vase. Dont know what it was used for, drugs? May Cru can help out... :icon_scratch: Other finds were the usual .50 bullets, lead and othe junk. Thanks for looking!

It is a little weird. It is definitive a WWII buckle, but it is the design from the buckle of the german army AFTER WWII.... (missing the swastika) Condition is good for finding in a ploughed field. :tongue3:

Nice hunting! Wow for 1585 Silver.

Thanks! It is not the exact year, the design of my coin matches a 1585 one. Could be a year or two up or down.... :tongue3: No year on these coins.

These were thought to have healing powers & were also placed over doorways. However, another common use was to bless the ploughed land & ask God for a good harvest. The vessel was then placed in the ground :icon_thumright:

Nice finds, congrats!
You did good out there :icon_thumleft:
