Now this is something that would spark the interest of a treasure hunter. You just don?t know what is buried on this wreck. It could very well be carrying a load of some type of treasure. Problem! Part of the treasure would have to be sold in order to pay for cost of recovery. Another problem, how does he get the upfront cost covered before he can recover any treasure? Yet another problem, how does he convince any potential investors that there is not just a bunch of mud and worthless trash on the bottom. In this case the investors may stand to louse all there investment. My risk assessment would be very high on this one. Yet, in the back of the mind of the treasure hunter, ?what if there is lots of gold and silver on this wreck??
Someone is going to have to take a chance to determine the potential for profit. Some good old research may turn up something, in the mean time, wreckers are going to have to just risk the cost of an on site investigation. They may be able to recover something that may provide a vital clue to the mystery.
Oh well, just a thought, looks like the Archie?s got this one covered.
