Was hunting a old wagon trail not to far from town, it's dated back to the 1850's. Hunted for an hour and only had one signal, sounded pretty choppy but I'm glad I dug it out of the rocky trail. It's stamped 14K and weighs 3grams 1" x 3/4". It does have a makers mark stamped on it but I can't seem to track down the company that made this.

Wondering how old it might be? and what kind of value? Thanks

wow...looks really cool...can't imagine it on a wagon trail, but god knows what items were lost or thrown off during the journey,..eager to hear what others might think it is...

Sweet find!

Okay, the hallmarks/maker's marks, I see the letter "A" and a key symbol... but I'll be danged if I can find who/what either belongs to... only "key" hallmark I've found for gold belongs to Geneva, but it's used on watches.

This is gonna keep me up, tonight.

Neat, if I found that I would regard it as priceless.

I should mention I'm in BC Canada, it's one of my best finds I wouldn't sell it just more interested in the history and who made it.yes the hallmark is a A with a key , very hard to find any info.any idea on the age?

Sorry Duststorm,

failed to answer your question as to what this brooch may be worth - the picture of the brooch i had attached was listed for sale @ $150.00.

Looks to me like coin1921 has pictured the identical piece - I would like to know more about this/these pieces - excellent find .

Great find there !! I would collect that, it is a very cool item !!!

Beautiful piece and an awesome find.
I wonder how old it is??

This is a Chatelaine for an old pocket watch chain. That is what the hook is for on the back. Have you tested this to be sure it is 14K?

Beautiful piece of gold !
