Found these earrings today and wow! They weigh 10 grams together. Paid $30 for them. I was unsure at first if the entire earring was gold or just the screw because other examples online were marked 14k in a couple of places whereas these are only marked on the screw, but for $30 it was a no brainer. Acid test confirmed it was all gold no doubt. Real pearls as well. Quite a nice quality vintage piece. I assume they are worth more than scrap for sure being this nice. Any idea on the age? Engel Bros was in business from 1931 to mid 60s. I think they are probably mid 50s or so. Beautiful earrings, here they are.

Excellent score! $226 scrap with the Pearls with a small deduction for the Pearls for only $30 is a win win. I believe that they are likely late 1950's to early 1960's, should be fairly collectible in some folk's eyes and fetch more than scrap prices.

Sweet. Heavy for an ear though. How did they where these monsters.

I'd call em 1950s atomic age design.

Great buy! I'd pay $30 for those all day!!
