I decided to go out this afternoon to the deserted beach in the cold windy rain because it might be the last chance in 2019. I found modern change and some flip tops then this. At first I thought it was sterling and my hands were too cold to feel the weight. After a few seconds in the sonic cleaner at home I saw it clearly marked 14K. it isn't a big ring but there are 30 diamonds on it. 8 across the top and 11each on both sides. There is a makers mark that is the letters A and D over lapping each other. I have heard of this but never actually saw it, each of the 30 diamonds are laser etched. it looks like a word with about 6 letters over another word with about 7-8 letters. its so small I cant read it with a loop and you would never see it without a lot of magnification. I'm pretty sure the words are not CZ. Ill take it to a jeweler and get more info this week. I've returned many rings but they have all had identifying marks or I found them for the owner. Hopefully the etching can identify an owner and I can roll over some good karma for 2020. The bend in the ring is to fit the matching wedding band.

That ring is a beauty. I didn't find a single piece of gold this year. Weird times. Good going!!

Beautiful ring! Keep us posted if you find the owner!

I have a very similar channel-set diamond ring with the same bend. I found it on the ground after the weekly flea market packed out. It has markings and I think it's gold but my jewler sister isn't convinced. Never been tested and the markings are hard to make out.
I thought the bend was from damage. Thanks for the education.

Sweet Gold, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Today I took this ring to a friends house and put it on a magnifier used for enlarging print, books/magazine etc. it made each stone look about 2" in diameter but we couldn't focus enough to see what was on each stone. He happened to have a higher end kids science microscope in a closet so we tried that. enlarging the image 75X we could finally read on each stone- Swarovski
Zirconia
Go figure. I couldn't find an exact image but on their web page it says this- "Every single Swarovski Zirconia is marked with a microscopic “Swarovski Zirconia” laser engraving that is completely invisible to the naked eye". Its still a wedding band and 14K so Ill put a notice on craigslist for awhile and see what happens.
