google 'whats my jewelry worth' it's a website for all metal prices, good find!

how much do they weigh

Went to a garage sale the other day and in a box was some 14k white gold cuff links, they priced them for fifthy cents, just wondering what does white gold go for$$????
14K white gold is worth the same as 14kt yellow gold

They both contain 14/24 (14/24 = 58.33%) gold

14k white gold is just an alloy of Gold and Nickel , Palladium or other metals that give it a white appearance

14k Yellow gold is an allow of Gold and silver and copper.

Thanks everybody, their small, about as big as your thumb nail, not heavy at all.

Here's how to price your gold... Spot prices are based on 24kt pure gold per ounce. Say today's spot price is $1750.00 (at the moment it's $1706.10, but we're using $1750.00 as an example). A troy ounce of gold weighs 31.1 grams. 14kt gold is .58333 pure. Based on the example spot price of $1750.00 per ounce, you would divide the $1750.00 by 31.1 to come up with a price of $56.27 per gram, but that's based on 24kt. Now multiply the $56.27 by the karat fraction of .58333. That equals $32.82. Now multiply the $32.82 by the weight of your cuff links, say 6 grams, and the value of your cuff links at the spot price would be $196.92. Expect buyers to pay a percentage of that. Hope this helped.

It all adds up. I bet they are worth at least $50 in melt. Cufflinks are en vogue again. Try selling them as jewelry versus scrap.

Wait? You mean white gold isn't just regular gold painted white?

Duh...everyone knows gold is white and they paint it yelllow. They actually have federal workers that get paid out of your taxes that dig up the stuff paint it yellow then place it back for prospectors to find. The governement does feel we could handle knowing gold is naturally white.

Now back to detecting...I hope I find lots of white and silver.

UPDATE,I took the cufflinks to my gold/silver buyer and he said that he doesn't buy things like that and told me where to go,so I went to an antiques mall and sold them to a buyer for$150.00.
