Local park took a beating on the 4th, garbage and coins everywhere. I hunted for about an hour and foud almost 4$ in misc. change, 2 braclets (1 kids indian stlye bead-1 costume)6 lighters and a hotwhell truck. While my coil was moving all the garbage out of the way, I thought why do people only lose coins not bills. As I was pondering this I thought what is a unclaimed bill? Well the answer is trash! so I put my metal detector away and went to where the trash collects (after a wind storm) on the east end of the park where it meets with a vacant lot filled with weeds. After 5 min. I found 2 $5, and 3 $1 bills stuck in the weeds. Thought I would pass this on.

Mr Garrett mentions that exact thing in his coin hunting book. Says to check the fences down wind of mall parking lots for paper money. Great minds think alike.
