1260x

I have an old 1260x that I bought from my uncle around 1995. It's been hung on the wall for about 20 years, but I was wondering if anyplace will give it a tune up and fix a few minor things?. I've had White's and am currently using a box 800 and overall the 1260 I think will out do them.

What needs to be fixed, and why do you think it needs a tune-up? Fisher is still in business if you want to send it to them.

My brother started using a 1260 more than 30 years ago and lives by it.

The battery box needs rebuilt and I just figured anything 40 years old needs a tune up. I feel like I sure do.

I still have my 1260x from 1984 and it still works great. Used it weekend before last recovering spent cartridges after target shooting. I’m expecting a new Bounty Hunter Time Ranger Pro Tuesday.

The 1260x is one hellofa deep hunting machine. Bit on the heavy side compared to today's lightweight detectors, but it'll sure do the job.
