How old is this detector? Good one? How much would you pay for one in good condition? Thanks.

I believe they quit making the 1235-X around 2001 or so. I saw one on Ebay that was at about $76 with a bit over 2 days to go and 6 bids so far. They are showing a solid coil but the one I had was sporting an 8" spider coil. I sold my for $250 back in 2001 and later bought the 1236X2.

Just paid $175 for a like new 1236x2 about 3 months ago on a private sale and feel it was worth it. I'm thinking $125 -$140 for a nice clean 1235x. They are nice detectors. HH Bill

I still have my Fisher 1235. It is a nice well built detector that I used to use in comp. hunts. I let my grand daughter use it when she goes with me and she loves detecting with it.

I think so too , i used a 1236x2 since 2001 and really liked it but traded it towards another detector, then had a change of heart after a few months and just happened upon the 1236x2 classified post. HH Bill
