I had about an hour to kill at home, so I went in the backyard. I've searched it before several times and found some coins, including a 1918 Merc. dime, which surprised me since the house was built in 1958. In about an hour today I found 12 coins, the oldest a wheat penny 1956. No other ones of note, all clad, but proves there's always something there nearby. I usually find myself moving a little too fast and not arching the coil in an efficient manner. I took my time and swung slowly all the way from the 9 o'clock position to the 3 o'clock position. Covered much more ground. Is that the recommended method?
