Ok here goes. I have no clue on buttons. I'm posting them all in one whack. Left to right, top row first.

#1. 2 piece, Eagle on front, can't make out a backmark, loop mount, brass.

#2. 2 piece, Eagle on front, backmark: S & J WATERBURY CT., brass

#3. Mo. P. on front, back is busted, brass.

#4. Embossed Train on front, no backmark, brass

#5. Finck Detroit, no backmark, brass

#6. Sanforized in cursive, no backmark, brass

#7. Lee (probably jeans), no backmark, brass

#8. Decorative pattern on front, no backmark, brass

#9, 10, 11. 2 hole small buttons, silver?

#12. 2 piece, Embossed musical instrument on front?, backmark: WATERBURY CO'S INC. CONN., silver plated?

I know thats alot of info, but you guys are good with these buttons. All have been found a 2 different sites. Thanks, Jason

Uknown steam train - fashion/work - probebly late 18th early 19th c. (Correction - 19th early 20th c.)

Vintage work clothes button - detroit company
#6. Sanforized in cursive, no backmark, brass

Yup - Vintage

Work clothes - genaric, I have many of these from an early 1900s site

These are probebly underwear buttons. IMO

I think all these are post 1900 - probebly closer to the 1930s - 1940s.

I thought maybe Mo. Police... could'nt find anything so I blew it off... LOL :)

I can't find "Mo. P" in my books either. It might be some sort of a transportation button. :icon_scratch:

It is indeed, and dates from the 1880's. :thumbsup:

I can't argue with that. One thing though, I'm sure you meant to say on button #4 that it was from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Otherwise pretty good!

The locomotive button is a post-1900 work clothes / overalls button, illustrated on p. 30 (Plate 14, #14) of Adams & Albert's booklet, A Descriptive Catalog of Pictorial Buttons Worn on Work Clothing, 1900-1935.
