your like me t,you won't give up -or give in every scratch and scar tells a story,and you can't buy happinness.i might get beat up ,and i might hurt for a while,i might not find as much -but what i get out of this hobby is priceless!!!!it separates the men from the panty-wastes.and if was easy everybody would do it!!!!!!!!i went sat.it was cold plus another 10 degrees colder in the mountains,slid down a hill ,hit a tree-walked down a creek -slipped-fell in ,@#$! that water was cold!!!!walked a mile ,with full backpack-full of sniping gear.didn't find but fly-poop.........walked up a 45-50 degree ridge.(notice the word ridge-not hill,there is a difference)-checked some hard rock-no luck.hiked out -slid in creek numerous times-went to fall ,caught myself - -with a bamboo vine! ,those thorns sure are long!!!finally got near the truck,walked -with load almost to the truck(the truck was in sight)fell down that same spot!!!!!!!hit my eye with a pry -bar (for sniping)got a shiner!@#!$!!!!!!!!! finally got to the truck,freezing cold -----------------turned the heat on and went to get a cup of coffee,had to count change for coffee(got laid off recently)left went to the river>o.k. things are looking up now..........get there and unload--- hike a little more -now i'm here it's time to get to work.....HEY I'M FINDING COLOR NOW !!!!!all right----now i'm nose to the grind stone now!-----ever notice how you don't notice the cold as much when you are working hard and seeing color?( by the way the temperature is steady dropping-in the mountains -in the evening-mid january -late afternoon-wading in the river-soaking wet-head to toe----------)now i notice my hands don't work so good.(getting stiff-and i can't even wiggle my toes)i do another pan and alright i got a little picker!!!now i'm an optimist-i can't acually pick it up (but i'm thinking it's because my hands are freezing)not because it's really a thick flake-not a picker,why get picky this is the biggest thing i have seen all day.so it's getting late now i'm trying to get in as many pans in as possible-and starting to get all my tools in one pile..now we pack up and go to the truck ...........................next post..the saga continues...

so we go to leave-i'm loaded down trying to get up a mud hill (remember what happened last time?)i do so i'm trying to go slow and not get another shiner.chris came back to help me (thanks chris )it's hard to get up that hill when your feet are numb hands are numb,wet etc.but i finally make it now i'm feeling good i know chris is cold too so i go to start the truck and chris says hey did you know we got a flat?$#@!%^^$# no i didn't !!!so remember how i told you i'm an optimist?this tire is only half flat and the store is only a half a mile away!so we limp to the store (count change to get air)get the tire pumped up and go inside ---now im cold hands are numb-feet are numb,wet -can't hardly walk ...i'm really looking forward to getting a cup of warm coffee ---NO MORE COFFEE !!!man what a bummer.but i do luck up and get some cappuchino so off we go!turn the heat wide open !!! this is a little better now .so my wife calls wondering if i'm ever coming home again.i tell her I'M ON THE WAY !see you soon ...after a while i'm thinking this traffic sure is heavy oh well least we are going 50 mph.then it gets to 40mph ...then 30 mph... then we get to 285 and it's a parking lot!!! there is a sign that says traffic metering in progreess expect delays---now did i tell you i'm an optimist? expect delays my #@!# this is a parking lot !!!!i'm thinking when did obama start trying to fix our traffic problem? so my wife is calling back now and she is p!$$@d!!!after forever we finally get to villa rica,i drop chris off and leave as fast as the mitsubishi will let me!get down the road and chris calls -hey have you seen my keys?so i turn around and take them to him...i leave again as fast as the mitsubishi will let me !!!call my wife and my son answers and says she don't have anything to say...D@$# i finally get home and it's quiet real quiet....kind of like the calm before the storm...oh well at least i'm warm now ...now the next day i can't wait to go thru my cons...remember that picker? i do and want to see it again!so i go thru my cons and guess what ? no picker wher e did it go go ?i guess when i was loading up i threw my tools in my con bucket trying to get it all in one trip like a dumb a$$ and when i took them out must have lost it! and that was the adventures of chris and strickman this weekend!!!but i'm ready to do it again and look forward to the next adventure i might not get 1100 ozs. but i earn every flake and speck!and got scars to prove it!it's a great hobby got to love it!!! it seperates the men from the panty wastes!no offense ment to the ladies--the ladies that do this are tougher than most men i know!!! and i mean as the upmost compliment!!!!
