11 piece charm bracelet

First I need to admit- although I hunt with my MD.. this bracelet was thrown out at the trash site. I took it in the other day just to see if it was 'real' 14k or just a repo or something. He weighed it and then said today I can give you $1000 for it! I also took along a ring I had got from my past employer as a 25 year date or something like that. Thinking it was just plated due to size- That was worth just shy of $500. I took them both back home- but was finally in the gold rush feeling.. now I want to get a Gold finding detector! Mine is a Garrett GTI-1500. Just thought I'd share. P.S.- getting another jeweler to look next week then see how they compare.

Get a 2nd. opinon is the way I would go too.about 3 years ago when gold was going for $800 an ounce ,I decided to sell 4 pieces of gold jewlery I had.Took them to a place that has an add on TV and they told me that they were worth only a$100.I decided to take them to a pawn shop and was told that they were worth about $120.Decided I'd try another place in the next town,and there they told me about $110.Decided to drive 30 miles out of town to a jewlery store that came recomened from friends who sell their MD fines there.That place give me $625 and I told them that their shop was the onlyplace I would ever come to again.
