The Feedback You Have Been Waiting For...

Well for those of you who saw my other post about the weird rocks sounding off here is the story and the pics of the hunt at the General Store and Train Depot.
Well I did not hunt at the Train Depot found out they moved it to it's present location from another town.

At the general store I only found 1-coin, and that is the 1940 Nickle, better than getting skunked, which I almost thought would happen.? While there hunting I thought and was hoping I had found a cache of coins under one of the old bricks pictured...(hey a man can dream right).? Well as I was digging down to a depth of about 9" I kept coming across broken glass and I thought I was onto something someone might have buried right under a brick at the porch steps.? Well I hit payday, so I thought.? I got my 12" pumps out of my car, once I dug around the metal object and tugged and pulled in right out of the whole with my pliers.? I was so dissapointed but still excited as my imagination had ran wild.? Anyway I had fun and the lady who was living in the back of the old general store was nice enough to let me hunt after an hour an a half drive from my house.? Almost forgot to mention the old white antique shirt button that I pulled from the same brick hole as the glass and the metal object.? The button is heavy and I think I like it the most, I have not seen a little button that has so much weight.

The other coins are from 3 different places I hunted on the way home, one was at a rest stop on old Route 66, one was at a park in some other town and the other location was at a park in Pontiac, Illinois.? I hunted around a swimming pool that was built back in 1925.? My oldest coin that I found there was a 1961 and 1964 linclon cent, not to mention all the pull tabs.? Arggggg!!!! Hate them pull tabs.

Total finds today, for a total of $1.05.
3-Quarters
1-Dime
3-Nickles
5-Pennies and a lot of junk not mentioned.
Happy huntin!
If you dig enough trash you are sure to find some treasure.

Enjoy!
Rob

That's alright. You're off to a great start. I have outings where I end up with nothing but trash. You have to think that the next signal you dig may be THE BIG ONE.

Looks like some good finds. Especially the nickle. I've taken excursions like that and sometimes was not even able to use may detector. HH

Yes I had a great time. My wife called on my cell phone and said, well you drove all that way for just a nickle. I told her it was worth it. It's the adventure and the thought of the big one that keeps me going and yes I have been turned down before as well and I was really thankful that the tenant in the general store let me hunt.

Parrothead, if I had known I flew by you I would have picked you up.
LOL.

Nana, I was exhausted and actually just woke up this morning around 10:00. Always well worth it.

Thanks to all.
