Hey everybody, Heres my issue. I need the best method for cleaning coins, JUST THE DIRT. I don't want my coins to look new, I don't want to loose patina, I just want to take the dirt off. Everywhere I look its something different, lemon juice, warm peroxide, soft soap and water, olive oil, ketchup, coke and god knows what else. I undersand different coins react to different solutions etc. All I want to do is take the dirt off and leave the character of the coin being dug minus the dirt. So far the best for me is a soak overnight in distilled water and a very gentle q-tip rub. Is there anyhting I'm missing. Like I said before, i just want to take the dirt off but leave the patina and character of a dug coin but still be able to see the detail. Thanks for all the help! HH
