I also pulled this from the floorboards the other night. It came from the exact area I found a 45 star United States flag (getting that framed). This is NOT a part of that flag. It's much thicker heavier material and the reverse doesn't look like a flag to me but I can't help but think it's some sort of patriotic garment of the same time period. I immediately felt this was something special when I found it too and my gut is usually right on these things. Anyone have any info or educated guesses? Thanks in advance. It looks like a piece of vintage canvas awning to me. 1950's-ish.

What makes you think it's Jewish related? I was thinking patriotic because of the colors.

It does appear to be similar to a piece of a Jewish temple scarf But I don't think so. It is more of a canvas texture. I think it is just a scrap of cloth from a mattress or bunting backing of a sofa

Some kind of heavy fabric designed for strength. I'm sure it would have had multiple applications. Could be very much what DCM has demonstrated. Here's one of my ideas of how it could have possibly been used.
