100 coin day streak ends...as weather heats up!

The heat has returned! So I had a goal to hit 50 coins and bail!! Well the other part of my deal was to quit after 2 hours...Guess the 2 hours came first! 49 coins nothing exciting.

Thats still a good haul for 2 hours. I was out today for just over 3 hours in the Northeast and had to call it quits due to the heat. Not to mention, I have a burning sensation on the back of my neck that won't go away, at least until it peals!

Hey buddy, I know what you mean. The rain has quit for awhile here...I think.
The heat and humidity are killers though. Even if you get out early, it warms up quick, and stays thay way untill dark. It is really cutting back the hunting time. I tried to go this morning but ended up talking to a Austin city park ranger most of the morning. I'm going to give it another try this evening. Those finds still arent bad for the time out, and you will still reach that goal you've set. Hang in there bud!

Someone said that on another forum 20,000... Seriously if I can get to 10,000 I expect to really slow down. I dont have flashy stories and I am not always successful, no contests no raffles....just putting a lot of time and effort in.

Wish I had a pizza chair with that ring on it. But like anything else...if I did all the time it would be boring...The fun for me is digging a million pennies and getting that surprise item in between!

In the heat I have learned when to bail! I am not that worried about having a fantastic day each time. Consistency will get the job done for me! Glad you got out that is half the battle~!

Thanks I was happy with the totals....but all of a sudden the heat is back! We have had it good here for 2 weeks ....70's and 80's I went out quite a bit.

Well its ok...I will stay with the steady averages for now...dont think the next few will be 100.....we are going into 90's for at least 7-8 days! Hard ground and need for water will slow me down...Hunts will be limited by coins so i don't get sick again from heat...Thanks though 100 would be nice! But may hit forest preserve tomorrow...not hunting today...if i pull 10-15 coins an hour from the forest preserve with all the trash in some areas and lack of sigals on other areas I am happy! Will be looking for a wheatie..

Yes you are right I had to dig most of these from 3.0 to 6.5 today...Odd 4 of the memorial cents were really deep....over 4.0

Zoyboy thanks for the support...but I have to get thru 6 to 10000 first before i can get that high which would be insane!
