10 Minute lunch time finds

Got out yesterday at lunchtime. Hit the entrance to a local trail. Finally got my first Buffalo nickel (1924) and only my second wheat penny (1953) this year.

Gosh, that's more finds in 10 minutes than I found in two hours the is past Sunday. Great going.

I can't wait to find my first silver too. Nickels are 25% nickel and 75% opper. Getting closer.

Thats good to know, I always though that Buffalo Heads were silver. I guess I should do some reading, is there a place on this site that has descriptions of coins?

It was just under the surface and I have cleaned it. But doesn't look much different then when it came out.
