An 1804 Draped-Bust Half-cent.
I found a new spot today, on my way home from spending an hour at one of my old spots, with NO luck.
A strange little patch of woods between 2 houses. You could tell people had been dumping in there for a while. It was kind of a hillside, but not too steep.
Anyway, I was in a rush, and only had 10 minutes to hunt, to try to get a feel for the place.
(I had to pick someone up at 5pm.)
My first coin was the Quarter at only about 4 inches.
Then I hit the Half-cent. It was really only about 4-5 inches deep. Full hit loud and clear.
I knew it was old when I saw the fraction thing on the back.
It appears to me so far, to be an 1804.
As you can guess, I can't wait to get back there now!
Thanks for lookin'.
