posted a ten commandments for miners written back in the day,
its a bit out of date, so here's my own for a modern day prospector
1. thou shall fill thy hole(unless thy diggings is upon private land or thou claim)
2. thou shall help thy greenhorn
3. thy must obey thy laws of mining In thou state, province or country
4.the must never judge another miner by he tools no matter how simple useless or stupid
5. thou must never judge another miner for an unsuccessful day, year, or beginning
6.thou shall respect more experienced prospectors
7. thou shall be willing to ache the next morning for gold, but thou shall not die or be seriously injured intentionally for it
8.thou shall respect the gold pan(it starts and ends with a pan)
9.thall shall not cause misfortune or harm upon another miner
10.thou shall respect the creek, river, mountain, or vein he is digging and restore it once he has taken its spoils
