1 time out and I'm a junkie!!!!
Well, my Excalibur 1000 has arrived and I got to take it out for my first ever metal detecting experience. Went to the beach for about two hours and found $2.37 in clad, and a weird pump thing with copper tubing. Not the greatest finds, but I was completely stoked anyhow. I'll be going back to the beach for a couple of hours this morning and hopefully will find some more.
We don't have a detector shop here in Destin, so I had to hit the web for my detector and all of my research. I ended up going with Gerry's Metal Detectors in Boise Idaho, what a smart move! You talk about attention, this guy deserves any business that he gets. Gerry will talk to you directly on the phone and always returns emails as well as voice messages the same day. He throws in some freebies and also offers free shipping. I wanted my Excal delivered next day, so he found the cheapest rate that he could and subtracted the cost of what he would pay for normal ground shipment. My detector showed up the next day and he even gave me a follow up call.
So, to make a short story long, I highly recommend Gerry to anyone out there who is looking for good product selection and fanatical customer service.
