I got to the swimmen hole just before dark today and had just enough time to get about 20 minutes of detecting in. I was digging a pocket spill, in the dry sand, that was driving me nuts. When I was sure there was nothing but zincs left I swung to my right and got an overload tone on my Trac. I lifted the coil and swung over it again and I got a 12/47 and a perfect silver sound. It was dark enough I couldn't see the ground so I was thinking I had hit a pile of melted beer cans. I used the light on my Pro Pointer and found this square object just laying in the sand.
My wife tells me its a Brighton Belt buckle and it is Silver. There is a stamp on the inside but its not readable.

Nice find and you didnt have to sift through sand and shells to find it in your scoop.
