nice Bronzies & a lot of pot :icon_thumleft:

For this site, its just a few choice pieces. Had tons off already, but I pass it all to Land-Mag for sorting & recording purposes. Had a great piece of Samian bowl base with a full Gualish potters mark :o

For some reason it's incredible to me that the Roman pottery shards have remained as in-tact as they do :icon_scratch: At our colonial site we just finished hunting, the pottery pieces are tiny at best, and I saw some glass pieces that looked like small pebbles... all from only 150-200 years of plowing at the actual homesite :dontknow:

Jeez, I Guess you
"Did pretty good with 10 Roman Bronze Coins - 1 good one I needed

3 Roman bronze whatzits

Roman pot shards"
Great Finds! Best Wishes for More !!

Not bad at all for 1 hour :icon_thumleft: good hunt Jim

Some of the larger rims from massive storage jars or amphora are as large as your hand (but very thick). Many survive well in this heavy clay, as the lumps protect them.
